Some Key Findings from the report:
• In 2021, African blockchain companies raised $127 million, representing 0.5% of all funds raised worldwide in this sector.
• Crypto adoption in Africa grew by over 1200% between July 2020 and June 2021, making Africa one of the fastest-growing continents in terms of adoption.
• African blockchain venture funding was 11 times the growth of general venture funding when comparing Q1–2021 to Q1–2022
• Most funding went to projects in four major countries: Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa and Seychelles.
